Why do you support the Morton 201 Foundation?

  • My husband, John, and I are both 1985 graduates of Morton East, and we have two children currently in the University system so we know first-hand how much post-high school education costs. I felt it was important for me to give back to current students to help them achieve their college goals. I held two fundraisers and raised over $1,000, which was enough to cover one of the Pay It Forward Scholarships at Morton East. Knowing that these fundraising efforts have helped students, and their families, I feel a little relief that a portion of their costs are covered by this scholarship. It makes me feel that I have fulfilled my own personal commitment to pay it forward. Once a Mustang, always a Mustang!

The dinner theater event hosted by the J.S. Morton District 201 Foundation did an outstanding job in showcasing the talent of our local students participating in both the culinary program and theater program.  I support the Foundation in its mission of inspiring and enriching our Morton students through opportunities and resources that support their educational experiences.  The success of our Morton students enhances the vibrancy of the Berwyn community.

  • Supporting education that develops the leaders of tomorrow is critical to the long-term success of our communities, and that’s why my colleagues and I at BMO Harris Bank are so proud to support the Morton 201 Foundation “Pay It Forward Scholarship”.
