    If you are interested in becoming a substitute for the J. Sterling Morton High School District 201 you will need to:

    Hold a valid Illinois Teaching (type 09) or Substitute (type 39) Certificate. For more information about obtaining a certificate please see the document to the left “West 40 Certificate Information”.

    1. Apply on-line by clicking on “View Job Opportunities” on the right hand of the screen.
    2. Click on “Substitute”.
    3. Click on “Apply” in the upper right hand side of the screen.
    4. Fill out the on-line job application.

    If selected to be a substitute, you will be responsible to cover the cost for the following:

    • Background check
    • Physical
    • TB test
    • 10-panel drug screen
