    Information about registration and processing

    Only parents/guardians who are residents of Cicero can register their students for Morton Freshman Center.

    Important information to remember

    • Registration is required for all students who will be attending Morton Freshman Center for the 2021-2022 school year.

    • Online registration information and login credentials will be mailed to the parents/guardians in March 2021.

    What do I have to do to register for the 2021-2022 school year?  

    • Online Registration: Parents/Legal Guardians must complete online registration via home computer before the deadline of June 1, 2021. Families needing assistance should contact: Yolanda Pineda at or Linda Montejano at Skyward Online Registration assistance will be available on the phone, via email or visit the online registration guide.

    • Processing: Morton Freshman Center is completing a “Virtual” Processing for birth certificate, immunization and physical and dental records, and residency documents.  Families will need to upload the required documents during the Online Registration process.

    The following documents will be needed to complete "virtual" processing.

    • Birth Certificate (original)
    • Immunization Record, Physical and Dental Record
    • Proof of Guardianship – Legal Custody Documents: Court-Ordered Guardianship/Custody (if applicable)
    • Proofs of Residency 

    FC Requirements

    Laptop Distribution for freshmen students only

    • All incoming freshmen students receive a laptop computer.

    • Students must be registered to receive a laptop.

    • Parent/Guardian and student laptop distribution dates will be July 13, 2021 and July 14, 2021.


    Student ID’s:

    • Students will be able to take their ID picture during the month of July. Please look out for these dates in future communication.
    • Students will receive their ID during the first day of school.


    Student Course Requests

    Parents and student will review their course requests for the 2021-2022 school year in Skyward. Details will be mailed home with “how-to” information from Eric Ramirez, Assistant Principal.

    Food Service Application

    • July 2021 - Will be available online. Look for communication from the Business Office.

    • Information about Student Fee payments and Bookstore purchases (including school and PE uniforms) will be communicated to families and posted to Skyward when available.

    Freshman Experience Day & First Day of School

    • August 9, 2021 - August 11, 2021

    • Students will be scheduled for an AM or PM session for one of the days.

    • In order to provide the best opportunity in their transition to high school, attendance is required.

    • August 16, 2021: First day of school

    Beginning this year, the district is contracting with a third-party vendor to automatically verify student address information. The vendor will use a parent's name and address to crosscheck the information against other electronic databases such as utility companies.
