Information about registration and processing
Only parents/guardians who are residents of Cicero can register their students for Morton Freshman Center.
Important information to remember
Registration is required for all students who will be attending Morton Freshman Center for the 2023-2024 school year.
Online registration information and login credentials will be mailed to the parents/guardians in March 2023.
What do I have to do to register for the 2023-2024 school year?
Online Registration: Parents/Legal Guardians must complete online registration via home computer before the deadline of June 15, 2023. Families needing assistance should contact: registration support at 708-863-7900 x1124. Skyward Online Registration assistance will be available on the phone, via email or visit the online registration guide.
Processing: Morton Freshman Center is completing a “Virtual” or "In-Person" Processing for birth certificate, immunization and physical and dental records, and residency documents. Families will need to upload the required documents during the Online Registration process or drop them off at the Freshman Center registration office. You could also drop off the required documents at the Freshman Center 24-hour mailbox located outside of the main entrance (Door #2).
The following documents will be needed to complete "virtual" processing.
- Birth Certificate (original)
- Immunization Record, Physical and Dental Record
- Proof of Guardianship – Legal Custody Documents: Court-Ordered Guardianship/Custody (if applicable)
- Proofs of Residency
Laptop Distribution for freshmen students only
- All incoming freshmen students receive a laptop computer.
- Students must be registered to receive a laptop.
- Laptop distribution will be on August 2nd or August 3rd.
- Students will be assigned to one of the pick-up dates.
- Parent or Guardian must be present to receive the student laptop.
- Students will take their school ID picture during laptop pick-up.
- Student will recieve thier school ID during the first day of school.
Student Course Requests
Parents and students will review their course requests for the 2023-2024 school year in Skyward. Details will be mailed home with “how-to” information from Eric Ramirez, Assistant Principal.
Food Service Application
July 2023 - Will be available online. Look for communication from the Business Office.
Information about Student Fee payments and Bookstore purchases (including school and PE uniforms) will be communicated to families and posted to Skyward when available.
Freshman Experience Day & First Day of School
August 14, 2022 - First day of school
The district contracts a third-party vendor to automatically verify student address information. The vendor will use a parent's name and address to crosscheck the information against other electronic databases such as utility companies.
