WSML Conference Meet 2022

On Tuesday, February 22, the Morton Mathletes concluded their West Suburban Math League season at the conference meet, hosted by Willowbrook High School. 

 

At the meet, top scorers for the Mustangs included Hector Valtierrez, Jose Florenzano, Marlen Resendez, David Salas, Fernando Reyes, Rolando Carreno, Alejandro Ramirez, Enoc De Jesus, Zaira Trujano, Jazmin Bernal, Julissa Carreno, Eduardo Morales.

 

On the season, which consisted of four meets, the Calculator team finished 5th place out of 14 teams in the West Suburban Math League.  The Pre-Calculus team concluded the season in 6th place, while the Algebra team placed seventh.  The top three individual cumulative scorers for each grade level are listed below.  Congratulations to all of the Mathletes and their coaches, Rachel Hosek, Barb Kane, Kevin Volk, and Matt Horvath!

 

Algebra:

Geometry:

1st Place – Michael Armea

2nd Place – Anthony Dominguez

 

Algebra 2:

1st Place – Fernando Reyes

2nd Place – Oskar Sevilla

3rd Place – Rolando Carreno

 

Pre-Calculus:

1st Place – Alejandro Ramirez-Cervantes

2nd Place – Enoc De Jesus

3rd Place – Zaira Trujano
