The adventure club promotes out door leadership and environmental ethics through experiential, adventure –based activities that include camping, hiking, canoeing, rock climbing, skiing and snowboarding. Students can expect to participate in local field trips to do community service and gain cultural awareness. The cub travels an average of three times each year on weekend overnight trips to Michigan or Wisconsin. In the summer, experienced members have an opportunity to participate in high-adventure field trips. For example club members have gone on backpacking trips to the Wind River Range of the Rocky Mountains in Wyoming, Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton National Park, and canoeing in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area in Minnesota. Students curious in meeting new people, traveling to different places, learning various outdoor skills, doing community service, and in general having fun are welcome to join us.
