The Morton Freshman Center Book Club is a very active group of passionate readers. Since its inception in 2006, the club has grown from 4 to more than 50 members! The Book Club members read a wide variety of young adult literature across many different genres, and many of the selections are award winning titles. Books are provided for checkout to club members. Club activities include a variety of literacy-related field trips, in-school author visits, community service projects, and literacy-based learning opportunities. Sharing their love of reading throughout the school and local community, FC Book Club members are the “reading ambassadors” of the Morton Freshman Center.
